Amboy Police

Joshua K. Larson, 28, of Amboy; 6:29 p.m. March 13 at North Mason Avenue and Hawley Street; LaSalle County warrant – violation of probation; taken to Lee County Jail.

Dominique P. Wilson, 25, of Sterling; 2:33 p.m. Monday at West Second Street and First Avenue, Rock Falls; driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle; given notice to appear in court.

Eugene M. Weigant, 46, of Rock Falls; 2:29 p.m. Monday at East Second Street and Ninth Avenue; speeding; given notice to appear in court.

Shelton D. Jackson, 24, of Chicago; 2:49 p.m. Monday at East Fourth Street and Seventh Avenue; speeding; given notice to appear in court.

Nora L. Smith, 47, of Sterling; 5:06 p.m. Monday at West Fourth Street and Dixon Court; speeding; posted driver’s license.

James T. Griffin, 35, of Sterling; 5:30 p.m. Monday at West Sixth Street and Dillon Avenue; speeding; posted driver’s license.

Dominique A. DeJesus, 41, of Sterling; 8 p.m. Monday at West Fourth Street and Avenue G; domestic battery; taken to Whiteside County Jail.

Hit-and-run crash: 10:38 p.m. Monday at First Avenue and East Fourth Street. A vehicle described to be a 1990s model tan, Ford Taurus was last seen traveling the wrong way on East Fourth Street. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 815-625-7897.

Ogle County Sheriff

Amber M. Stearns, 23, of Rockford; March 20 for an incident that occurred March 18 in the 700 block of state Route 72, Stillman Valley; regarding the theft of a television, 12-gauge shotgun and PlayStation game system. She was charged with burglary and taken to Ogle County Jail. Some of the property was recovered in Rockford.

Bernardino Santiago-Velazquez, 26, of DeKalb; 6:03 p.m. Monday on Mulford Road and state Route 64; no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle; taken to Ogle County Jail.

Douglas Booker, 28, of Rochelle; 8:35 p.m. Monday at state Route 251 and Hemstock Road; driving with a suspended license; taken to Ogle County Jail.
