DIXON – The City Council returns to City Hall for Part 2 of budget talks today.

Talks are expected to continue with the wastewater and water funds, and should get into tax increment financing funds, which are used to recycle tax dollars for economic development.

Future projects, such as the city’s streetscaping, and balances of funds will be discussed.

In its first session, the City Council reviewed balances and projections with little to no debate in its Oakwood endowment, medical insurance, working cash, Illinois Municipal Retirement and Social Security funds.

The budget workshop begins at 6 p.m. at the council chamber, 121 W. Second St.
