Candidates on agenda at dinner

ROCK FALLS – Two state senators running for the governor’s seat will be guest speakers April 26 at the Rock Falls Days Inn, 2501 First Ave.

The program will be part of Whiteside County Republican Central Committee’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

The social hour will start at 5:30 p.m., with a dessert auction at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and the program will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 or $300 for eight.

Bill Brady of Bloomington and Kirk Dillard of Westmont will speak at the meal. Brady was elected to the Senate in 2001, and ran as the Republican gubernatorial candidate in 2010. Dillard has been a state senator since 1993.
