AURORA (AP) — A police sweep of the Aurora University campus in suburban Chicago is complete and nothing suspicious has been found.

Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli says the sweep was conducted in response to multiple emails containing bomb threats. The emails began around 8 a.m.

The university canceled classes and employees were sent home. University spokesman Steve McFarland says the school received three or four similar e-mails containing non-specific bomb threats.

About 650 students living on campus were being relocated to an Aurora elementary school, but the university said it planned to allow them to return in the afternoon.

Aurora University is about 40 miles west of downtown Chicago.
