MORRISON – Martin Jay Dykema, 51, of 11506 Garden Plain Road, Morrison, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at a rural farm in Morrison. He was a self-employed farmer.

Martin was born April 6, 1961, in Morrison, the son of Don and Ruth (Feldt) Dykema. He married Leanne K. Grater on Oct. 4, 1981, in Morrison. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Erin (Josh) James and Kate (Cody) Goodwin, and two sons, Nolan Dykema and Thomas Dykema, all of Morrison; four grandchildren; his parents, and one sister, Julie (Jim) Brown, all of Morrison; and one brother, Jerry Dykema of Beaumont, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and one sister, Lynn Johnson. 

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Morrison United Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Dan Schenck, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Rock Creek Cemetery in Morrison.
