New garbage contract would keep rates the same
City also launches Facebook page
ROCK FALLS – The city is negotiating a new contract with Moring Disposal, which has submitted a bid that will keep residents' rate the same $15 a month it is now for the next 5 years.
The city opened bids for the garbage contract on March 1; Moring submitted the lowest.
It's basically the same program the city has now: Residents will leave their garbage curbside in bags or cans, and recycling will remain the same, City Administrator Robbin Blackert said.
