Benefit for former firefighter on tap

DIXON – A benefit for former Dixon resident Robert Brigante, 21, injured in an accident and unable to work, will be held Saturday at the Dixon VFW, 1560 Franklin Grove Road.

The benefit begins at 3 p.m. and includes an all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner, with garlic bread, salad, and dessert, as well as a silent auction, a disc jockey, 50/50 raffles, cotton candy, popcorn and face-painting.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.; the cost is $8 for 18 and older and $4 for ages 6 to 17.
