Pam Martinez

My name is Pamela J. Martinez, and I have lived at my current address for 61/2 years, moving back from Colorado Springs, Colo. I am a member of One-Eighty church of Sterling.

I have two children: a son, Martin, 21, a junior at Colorado State University, majoring in chemistry; and a daughter, Amber, 16, a junior at Rock Falls High School. I graduated from Savanna High School in 1987 with high honors. I attended Bradley University for 2 years right after high school, and I graduated from Ashford University in October 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

I am active in my daughter’s cheerleading program at the high school and an assistant coach for junior tackle football cheerleading program for 5 years.

I have been a member of the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce for 2 years and have recently been elected an ambassador. I am also an active member for the Relay for Life event that is held here in Rock Falls at Hinders Field.

I have been an Advocare independent distributor for 10 years, a cashier and head cashier at the Sterling Walmart for 2 years, in accounts receivable and collections at Halo Branded Solutions for 51/2 years, and a merchandiser for a local company for 2 years.

While I lived in Colorado Springs, I was employed by a chiropractor’s office and an orthopedic office for 151/2 years, in the accounts receivable and collections office.

The office of the city clerk has many functions. If elected, I would strive to maintain a smoothly operated office and would work to implement any changes that may be needed now and in the future.
