Having worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation in Dixon and knowing how the retirement system works, it makes me wonder how many of those child-caring teachers, who walked the picket line for very high pay increases over the next 5 years, are planning to retire in 5 years, as their retirement pay is figured on the last 5 years of employment?

Is that the mind fix of dedicated educators, or money-hungry persons who care not for education of our children but the almighty dollar? Can you people live with the fact that you are not acting like mindful, caring educators in your quest to sweeten your own selfish pocketbooks?

Thanks for nothing and not caring about our children’s education. You got yours. Is that all that counts?
