Public invited to concert, supper

STERLING – The Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus’ 62nd annual show, “Barbershop Island,” begins at 4:30 p.m. April 6 at Sterling High School’s Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.

Join the RRVBC on the S.S. Pitchpipe as they get “Lost in the Stars,” build “Castles in the Sand” and “Wait for the Storm to Clear, Wilson.” The featured quartet will be Premium Blend from the Kansas City area; the group won the bronze medal in the Central States District contest.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for students with an ID or $12 each for groups of five or more, and are available at Community State Bank locations in Sterling and Rock Falls; Select Employees Credit Union; The Precinct; St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling; The Crystal Cork in Dixon; at 815-625-1248, 815-631-6110; and at the door.

After the show, dinner will be served and chapter quartets and Premium Blend will perform at Rock River Golf and Pool, 3901 Dixon Ave. in Rock Falls. Tickets for this event, called Afterglow, are $15 and must be bought in advance at the phone numbers above.
