Hope seen in wife’s selfless act of love

Recently in our small community, a wife committed a selfless act of love by giving her husband her kidney.

She gave two reasons for the decision: to give her husband “new life” and “to give God glory.” In the recent film version of “Les Miserables,” one of the lines from a song was “to love another person, is to see the face of God.”

These days, much of the news we hear are reports of selfishness, cruelty, hate and greed. How refreshing when there is a report of true acts of love (caretakers included) giving a bit of light to these dark times.

There is hope where there is still love.
