Chicago Catholics celebrate choice of new pope
CHICAGO (AP) — Roman Catholics attending a Mass of Thanksgiving at Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral say the selection of Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio to the papacy signals the church recognizes it is growing South America.
Parishioner Jorge Judan says the church cannot just be limited to Europe, but has to reach out to people around the world.
Congregants who gathered to pray Wednesday said they are impressed by Francis' humble nature and style of leadership.
