Police: Woman bruised in home invasion
ROCK FALLS – A preliminary hearing will be held Thursday for a 27-year-old Rock Falls man who police say bruised a 31-year-old acquaintance after breaking into her home around 6 a.m. Saturday, police said Tuesday.
Thomas R. Harrold, 27, is in Whiteside County Jail on a $100,000 bond, charged with home invasion, which carries 6 to 30 years in prison. He also is charged with criminal trespass to state-supported land and domestic battery, both misdemeanors. He has a preliminary hearing Thursday.
Harrold entered the woman’s home in the 700 block of West 18th Street without her permission, Rock Falls police said in a news release Monday.
