Scrap yard owner charged in theft of school buses
CHICAGO (AP) – The owner of a Chicago scrap yard has been charged in connection with the theft of eight school buses that later were found chopped in pieces at his business.
Police say 44-year-old Sergio Quintero was charged with a felony for illegally possessing a title or registration.
The buses were discovered missing from Sunrise School Bus and Charter garage on Chicago’s southeast side early Friday.
