Questions that I, as a taxpayer and resident of Dixon, have for the superintendent and board of education are as follows:

1) Why, if the school district has had a decrease of $700,000 in revenue, did the superintendent and school board spend thousands of taxpayer dollars hiring an outside lawyer whose service will not benefit any student in the district or the community of Dixon? How much is the lawyer being paid per hour? How many supplies could have been purchased for the students? 

2) Why increase the superintendent’s salary when you were unwilling to increase the salary of teachers, whose workload increased with larger classes, whereas the superintendent has fewer teachers to supervise because of the number that have been eliminated?
