As I sit down to write this letter of invite, I give thought to what it takes to be Irish. The Irish people have a very rich history.

The early Irish themselves have ancestry roots made up of the Celts, Vikings, Normans, English, Planters, Spaniards and French. With this in mind, I get an understanding that the Irish are truly made up of some of the great people of history.

St. Patrick’s Day is a wonderful celebration largely in part because of one of the original melting pots of earth, Ireland. The Irish are made up of the best of our ancestry. For those naysayers and glass-half-empty folks who walk among us, we, the Irish, invite you to come join us for a celebration unlike any other – a celebration of being Irish and Irish at heart.
