Area teams in radio station's academic bowl

SAVANNA – The 2013 WCCI Academic Bowl is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Antl Hall in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 318 Chicago Ave.

Eight area teams will compete for this year's title. The quarterfinal matches pit Stockton vs. Fulton at 1 p.m., and Eastland vs. Scales Mound at 1:30 p.m., while Millegeville and West Carroll face off at 2 p.m., and River Ridge and Pearl City meet at 2:30 p.m.

Semifinal matches are planned for 3 and 3:30 p.m., respectively. The third-place match will be at 4 p.m., with the title match at 4:30 p.m.
