Look out for motorcycles

Every time I read an article in the paper about Sam Munz, it reads to me as though it was his fault he was killed. Aren’t we supposed to watch the road?

As for turn signals, bicycles don’t have them; neither do older tractors, and older motorcycles were never equipped with them.

As a rider of an antique motorcycle, I only hope people pay attention when I signal. Lots of times, I heard tires squeal as drivers, all of a sudden, brake.

You see, a rider has to signal with his or her left arm, then use the left hand to pull the clutch lever in, so if the person behind is not paying attention, they won’t see the signal.

Not saying that’s what happened, but I am very curious to hear what she was doing instead of watching the road.

No matter what the excuse, it doesn’t negate the fact, as a driver, she wasn’t paying attention to the road and killed a man. Doesn’t matter who she works for, she should be held accountable.

Rita got almost 20 years and although may have hurt people, never killed anyone. How ironic that Sam had that huge banner “Start Seeing Motorcycles” on his barn.

Riding weather is just around the corner. One last thing: was her toxicology report ever revealed?
