ROCK FALLS – A fundraiser to help a Rock Falls woman with ovarian cancer will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. March 24 at the Wagon Wheel, 1711 W. Fourth St. in Sterling.

Jamie Spears Bell, 22, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer in early January. She is undergoing treatment and so cannot continue to work at Donaldson's in Dixon.

She is the wife of Lenny Bell and the daughter of Howard and Kim Glispie, all of Rock Falls.

The benefit will feature a $6 barbecue dinner, a live auction at 4 p.m., a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, door prizes and a disc jockey.

Donations are being accepted for the auctions; call Jessica Nance at 815-622-8873.

Monetary donations for the Benefit for Jamie Bell may be made at any Freedom Bank location.
