ROCK FALLS – Lloyd D. Whitlock, 79, of Rock Falls, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at his home. He was a purchasing manager for RB&W in Rock Falls for 44 years, retiring in 1995.

Lloyd was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Rock Falls, the son of Robert and Marie (Anderson) Whitlock. He married Beverly Reynolds on Jan. 21, 1951, in Sterling. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1995.

Survivors include four daughters, Micendra Whitlock of Rock Falls, Michelle Bohms of Morrison, Micarla (Louis) DeShane of Prophetstown, and Miconna Hoovler of Wentzville, Mo.; one son, Michael (Caryla) Whitlock of Fulton; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Dexter; and one brother, Donald Whitlock.

There will be no visitation. Prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with the Rev. Jeff Coester, pastor of First Congregational Church of Sterling, officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

A memorial has been established to Passages Hospice.
