Keep cleaning up at city hall

The three musketeers or four horsemen and their round table. As I have been saying all along about the Rita Crundwell scandal, everyone now is taking more interest in this story as many things have come up.

For one is the mayor story about the conflict of interest with having a real estate business and being mayor. Another is the stories about the public works director/city engineer and the Dixon city fire chief getting a loan from Crundwell at no interest.

Question – when are they to pay it back? If so, they should have had to pay it when the story first broke, and if so at what interest?

Now the festival president wants to jump on the bandwagon. (I would suggest keeping out of that loop).

Now the city council members want to spend more of the taxpayers’ money and have another firm come in and do their job for them, which they should have known before taking those jobs. If they want to rebuild, then all of them should resign their posts and have people in there who can do the job right.

Everyone is pointing fingers because they do not want to be the fall guy. Everyone who has held any position or office since Rita first started taking money should all be found guilty by association and be left to share the burden of the over $53 million that was taken from the people of Dixon.

No more money should be spent on anything that the city council wants to do until all of this mess, that they and past city councils created, has been cleaned up.

The only money that should be spent should be on the fine taxpayers of Dixon and their families.
