As I read the article “Gun-shy to debate?” in the SV Weekend March 2, I noted your source, Stephen Klien, made a glaring mistake.

He describes gun owners as “a relatively small minority of the population.” I think he needs to do a little bit in research on that subject and not shoot from the hip with his statements.

Gun ownership in the United States ranges from 39 percent to nearly 50 percent of the population and continues to grow (those numbers coming from various sources from the Internet). Even at 39 percent of the population, that is no “relatively small minority.”
