Give blood during Red Cross Month

PEORIA – The American Red Cross encourages everyone to give blood or platelets, volunteer, take a class or make a financial donation during Red Cross Month.

March blood drives in Whiteside County will be from:

■ 1 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at River Bend Senior Center, 912 Fourth St., Fulton.

■ Noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison.

■ 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Falls Blood Donation Center, 112 W. Second St.

■ 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Abiding Word Church, 806 E. Lynn Blvd., Sterling.

■ 1 to 5:15 p.m. March 26 at River Bend Senior Center.

■ 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 27 at Rock Falls Blood Donation Center.

■ 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 30 at Rock Falls Blood Donation Center.

To donate, a blood donor card, driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in.

Donors must be at least 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.
