DIXON – Barbara Helfrich, 77, of Dixon, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.

Barbara was born Jan. 23, 1936, in Dixon, the daughter of Donald and Frances (Hollingsworth) Culver. She married Albert G. Helfrich on June 14, 1952, in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1996. Barbara was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include nine sons, Michael (Rebecca) Helfrich, Charles (Kathleen) Helfrich, William (Laura) Helfrich, Scott (Lynn) Helfrich, Albert (Felicia) Helfrich Jr., Daniel (Melody) Helfrich, John (Kim) Helfrich, Donald (Sally) Helfrich, and Glenn (Rachel) Helfrich, all of Dixon; one brother, Donald (Wakenna) Culver of Edgewood, Ky.; one sister, Sharon Kemp of Dixon; her mother, Marcella Culver of Dixon; one stepsister, Rose Davis of Amboy; 38 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
