Two more days, and strike will cut into financial aid
Teachers will have to vote on deal before returning to class
DIXON – If the teachers strike goes 2 more days, the district will start losing its general state aid.
Classes were canceled for a third day Monday as the Dixon Education Association strike continued. The school board and the union also continued contract talks.
Stan Eisenhammer, the district’s attorney, said the state starts to cut aid by an incremental percent for every day fewer than 180 that a district conducts class.
