We want to express our deep gratitude to the Dixon City and Dixon Rural fire departments for responding to our call on Feb. 28. With skill and dexterity, these firefighters performed their jobs immediately and efficiently on our chimney fire.

We take so much for granted until we need their expertise.

They recognized what needed to be done to prevent further damage to the house. To a casual observer, they provided far more than meets the eye.

They are dedicated civil servants, responding to our call. We couldn’t ask for a finer team of well-trained firefighters.
