On the docket: Pretrial conference.

CHILD PORN CASE: Ronald N. Osborn, 61, of rural Dixon; charged with six counts of aggravated child pornography. Police say a search of Osborn’s computer on June 13 turned up multiple images of child pornography.

Wednesday

MURDER CASE: Steven A. Watts, 56, of Berryville, Ark.; charged with first-degree murder in connection with the beating and suffocation death of Gary D. Dawson, 30, of Peoria, in late August 1983.

On the docket: Pretrial conference.

THEFT CASE: Michelle A. Kemp, 49, of Dixon; charged with forgery and theft. Police say Kemp, a former manager for a now-closed real estate office, wrote nearly $50,000 in checks by forging the name of the office owner. 

On the docket: Preliminary hearing.

BURGLARY CASE: Travis S. Broderick, 18, of Amboy; charged with four counts of burglary and one count of misdemeanor resisting. Police say he and several others broke into a number of vehicles in Dixon in January. 

He also is charged with residential burglary and theft; police say he broke into an Amboy home in January and took money and jewelry.

On the docket: Pretrial conferences in both cases.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY CASE: Susan E. Emmole, 43, of Dixon; charged with residential burglary. Police say Emmole stole cash, coins, and watches from a home on the northeast side of Dixon on Aug. 9.

On the docket: Preliminary hearing.

BURGLARY CASE: Josephine Emmons, 18, of Big Rock; charged with residential burglary and theft. Police say Emmons and another person broke into an Amboy home and stole money and jewelry in January. 

On the docket: Preliminary hearing.

Thursday

MURDER CASE: Byron E. Adams, 54, of Chicago; serving 60 years in prison for suffocating Margaret Atherton, 35, in her Dixon home on Sept. 11, 2009.

On the docket: Motion to reconsider his sentence and new trial.

THEFT CASE: Andrew S. Daniels, 20, of Dixon; charged with two counts each of felony and misdemeanor theft. Police say Daniels stole fuel tanks, car motors and other items throughout the county in January to be sold for scrap.

On the docket: Preliminary conference.

BATTERY CASE: Christopher J. Dever, 40, of Rock Falls; charged with two counts of aggravated battery. Prosecutors say Dever, a guard at the Dixon Correctional Center, shoved an inmate into a door frame on Oct. 8, 2011, and shoved another guard who was “engaged in his official duties.”
