Welling, McCallister hearings rescheduled
Hearings in two high-profile cases were rescheduled Wednesday.
In Lee County Court, Matthew W. Welling, 32, of Amboy, is charged with first-degree murder and two counts of home invasion. Investigators say he pushed his way into the home of Delmar Leroy Daniels, 79, in mid-July and killed him during a struggle.
Wednesday’s hearing on motions to toss his confession and evidence collected at the scene were rescheduled for April 3.
