Crundwell’s term actually is too short

I see that Rita’s attorneys feel that the 19-year sentence is too harsh.

I feel that a 1-year sentence would be appropriate, if it were 1 year for each $1 million she stole. That would be a 53-year sentence, with a 10-year reduction for the recovered cash.

People who lose their ill-gotten gains should not consider that loss, and the loss of their good names, as sufficient punishment. She took taxpayer money and deprived citizens of needed programs.

Of course. she also demonstrated that we do not need to be taxed as heavily as we have been burdened.
