CHICAGO (AP) — A cabdriver is accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a passenger in a northwestern Chicago suburb.

Police say officers caught Eric Chung assaulting the woman over the weekend in Schaumburg.

Authorities say the woman was traveling with two friends in the cab were able to escape at a red light after Chung started behaving inappropriately.

Schaumburg police say Chung sped off with the third passenger still in the vehicle. The Arlington Heights woman's two friends called 911.

Officers found the cab in Schaumburg while the attack was taking place early Sunday morning.

The woman was taken to a hospital.

Chung is charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated criminal sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear at a bond hearing Thursday.
