MOUNT MORRIS – Sharon’s Salon & Spa takes a team approach to beauty.

Five women from the Mount Morris area wanted to put together an exceptionally fun and creative spa and salon. The “whole salon” approach at Sharon’s Salon & Spa is one introduced by owner Sharon Osborn.

Business partners Allison Milnes, Lori Noble, Rebecca Lawson and Doreen White work to ensure guests enjoy every minute of their stay. A surprising variety of services and gifts is available under this one roof.

There's an area with a TV and children’s movies; a snack bar; a gourmet food mini-market with “No Ordinary Jelly,” including beer-flavored, wine-flavored, pomegranate, organic 3-berry and watermelon, and other unique jellies and foods; one-of-a-kind, artistically rendered jewelry featuring natural southwest stones, and including many pieces that offer lots of glamour with their glittery gems and settings; one-of-a-kind totes, purses, hand-knit caps and scarves; and many other gifts.

Gift certificates and packages are offered, too.

Salon services include the usual and the unusual, administered by specialists in each category: men’s, women’s and children’s haircutting, coloring or highlighting; “Presage” – a special cutting technique to enhance curly and wavy hair without the use of chemicals; facial and body waxing; manicures and pedicures with gel polish, and wraps or sculptured acrylics; and “Sharidera” scalp massage, ear candling, and many other cosmetology services. They even offer permanent cosmetics.

The salon also has a specialized booth for full-body spray tanning, with a guarantee that the tan won’t run or turn orange. The technique used here allows variance as needed for areas of the body that have differences in sun exposure – think “farmer’s tan.” This ensures the tan is even and gives customers that “healthy, all-over glow” for special events and personal confidence.

Bridal parties, birthday parties, overnight guests, clubs and groups are invited to experience a spa day as part of an event.
