Dr. W.E. Cherry
STERLING – Dr. W.E. Cherry, D.D.S., 77, of Sterling, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Sterling Pavilion.
He was born July 11, 1935, in Augusta, Mont., the son of Wesley and Florence (Mullaney) Cherry. He married Mary Susan Hey on Dec. 29, 1957, in Sterling. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Cherry received his undergraduate degree from Montana State University and graduated from Northwestern University, receiving his D.D.S. degree. He practiced dentistry from 1957 until his retirement in 2003. Dr. Cherry was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sterling and enjoyed auctioneering, hunting, backpacking, camping and being outdoors. He had a love for music, including playing his bass guitar. Dr. Cherry was a member of the American Dental Association.
