Whiteside sheriff offering scholarship

MORRISON – Whiteside County Sheriff Kelly Wilhelmi will honor a full-time student with a $500 scholarship. The money is made available through the Illinois Sheriff’s Association.

Applicants must be Whiteside County residents and permanent residents of the state and must be enrolled full time during the 2013-14 school year, excluding summer sessions, in a certified Illinois institute of higher learning.

The money can be applied to tuition, books, and fees only.

Applications are available at www.ilsheriff.org or at the sheriff’s office at 400 N. Cherry St. They must be returned to Wilhelmi’s office, or postmarked by March 15.
