Safety conference planned at SVCC

DIXON – There will be a 1-day U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety conference from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 12 at Sauk Valley Community College, 173 state Route 2.

Participants can attend a construction, safety, health or grain track, with five sessions or choose from different tracks. Session range from fall prevention and OSHA inspections to entanglement hazards and accident investigation. The presentations last 1 hour. Lunch will be held in the early afternoon.

The cost is $30, and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Early registration is due by March 5. Registration also will be available on the day of the conference. Contact the business and community education department at dana.j.chacon@svcc.edu or call 815-835-6212.
