EAST LANSING, Mich. – Isabelle A. Zopf Smith, born Nov. 24, 1915, in Dixon, to William and Mary Zopf, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, in Lansing, Mich., at the age of 97.

Isabelle left Dixon at the age of 17 to pursue her nursing career. She was a registered nurse for Redford Community Hospital in the Detroit area. Isabelle married Robert E. Smith, an urban renewal official, in 1942. They lived in Detroit for 34 years. In 1979, they moved to Haslett, Mich. Isabelle loved to travel and winter in Florida.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert, in 2001.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral at 12:30 p.m., Monday at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, Mich. Interment will be at DeWitt Cemetery.
