MORRISON – Hazel M. Merema, 99, of Morrison, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison. She farmed with her husband in rural Morrison.

Hazel was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Fulton, the daughter of John and Hattie (Buikema) Amman. She married Henry Merema on Feb. 25, 1951, in Fulton. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2006. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Alda Over and Jeanette Wiersema; and four brothers, Richard, Harold, Lester, and Earle Amman.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.
