Harold D. VanOosten

ERIE – Harold D. VanOosten, 87, of Erie, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island in Rock Island. He farmed in the Erie area his entire life.

Harold was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Garden Plain, the son of Charlie and Margaret (Heun) VanOosten. He married Marilyn Heusinkveld on Oct. 21, 1946, in Morrison. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Patricia James of Erie; two sons, Larry (Connie) VanOosten of Erie and Charles (Sandra) VanOosten of Plant City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene (Jake) Damhoff of Erie.
