STERLING – Eric J. Peterson, 45, of Sterling, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home.

Eric was born Feb. 22, 1967, in Sterling, the son of Eldon Peterson and Donna Barber. He was formerly of Loves Park and Camdenton, Mo. Eric worked at Bullet Stop Gun Shop in Rockford for 3 years, and enjoyed target practice with his guns. He also enjoyed spending time on eBay, cooking, and baking. Eric really loved the time he spent with his dogs, Lucky, Dewey, Cash, and Benji.

Survivors include his father, Eldon Peterson of Camdenton; mother, Donna (Curt Hagen) Janssen of Sterling; one sister, Christy (Paul) Carlson of Loves Park; one aunt, Kathie Nicodemus of Freeport; one uncle, Kent Peterson of Sterling; one nephew, Tyler Charleston; one niece, Sierra Sprague; and one cousin, Julie Nicodemus.
