Let’s renovate Memorial Pool in Rita’s name

I think this might be a way of healing for Dixon and this scandal.

I read with interest the article that the city of Dixon may receive upwards of $10 million from the sale of Rita Crundwell’s assets.

The city of Dixon has an opportunity to spend all this recovered money that isn’t in the budget for this year and probably next. They could spend it on a new garbage truck, fire truck, or a memorial to Mayor Burke.

It was easy to get distracted by the performance of it all. The active shooter drill held by Sterling and County Police last week at the high school. The scenario; two armed shooters in the school killing students and teachers and the police and medical technician's response. It's an unfortunate drill, but a necessary one.
