Babcock’s 3s, Armoska’s double-double lift Rockets on road

Rockets rally past Alleman

Austin Babcock hit a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left Tuesday night to lift the Rock Falls Rockets to a 50-49 victory over Alleman in Rock Island.

Steven Armoska led the Rockets (21-6) with another double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Babock, who also hit a 3 with 41 seconds left to bring Rock Falls to within 49-47, finished with 11 points, as did Jace Anderson. Anderson nabbed three steals, and Daegan Wharff chipped in three points, six rebounds and four assists.

Kevin O’Keeffe led Alleman (7-17) with 23 points and nine steals, while Adam Hoogerwerf added 15 points.
