Genealogy group continues DVD series

PRINCETON – The Bureau County Genealogy Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the society’s library, 629 S. Main St.

“A People Disappears,” the fourth installment of the DVD series “Germans in America,” will focus on ethnic groups which tried to suppress their identities during war years. The meeting is free and open to the public.

At this time, the volunteer staff is working with a Danish researcher who is creating a television show similar to “Who Do You Think Your Are?” This research involves a family who settled in Sheffield in the 1800s.

The next First Saturday opening of the library will be March 2.

For information, call the BCGS from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 815-879-3133.
