Families needed for exchange students

Youth For Understanding USA needs homes for high school exchange students for the next school year. Host families provide a place to live, three meals a day, and support during a semester.

Students have their own spending money and health insurance, and can help with household responsibilities. YFU provides local representatives for support during the semester.

Profiles on students' interests are available upon request. For more information, contact Jerry Ritthaler at jritthaler@yfu.org or call 773-598-4483.

Visit www.yfu-usa.org to fill out a volunteer application or to learn more about becoming an exchange student. Adult volunteers also are needed to serve as the primary YFU contact within the community.

Information on how to become an exchange student can be found on the website.

Rock Falls is considering a ban on leaf burning. Should the city finally take that step?
