People not so friendly at cross signal

The mayor says Dixon is friendly. Not when you want to cross the street by McDonald's. People make a right turn.
Last night, I waited for the cross signal, and two cars turned. I then proceeded to cross. Some lady in a white car stopped and threw her hands in the air and gave me a look like I wasn't allowed to cross on the pedestrian cross signal. I looked at her and said, "I have the cross pedestrian signal, stupid."
People don't care. They are in cars, and pedestrians don't have the right-of-way.
Where's the friendliness? Not in Dixon.
