Arts programs scheduled

STERLING – Donations of rocking chairs in working condition are needed for a future, fundraising program at Woodlawn Arts Academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road.

Chairs can be dropped off during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the main building.

Call 815-626-4278 before bringing the chair. The tax-deductible chair donations needed before June 1.

A family craft day will be from 10 a.m. to noon March 9 for children 2 and older. Craft supplies and instructions will be provided for an Easter wreath.

Supplementary supplies will be available for each child to do one additional project using their imagination. The cost is $5. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

The academy’s next Girls Night Out program will be at 6 p.m. March 8. Women 18 and older will create a ceramics craft or work on their own project.

Those attending the workshop may bring a snack to share and their own beverage.

The cost is $20 for those doing the provided craft or $10 for those bringing their own. Registration is due by March 5.
