Armoska fuels Rockets; Johnston leads Cards
Rock Falls senior puts up double-double; Erie senior pours in 37; Mustangs pick up TRAC win
In just three quarters of action, Rock Falls’ Steven Armoska scored 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, as the Rockets thumped Stillman Valley 73-52 in a Big Northern West matchup Friday at Tabor Gym.
Rock Falls (20-6, 8-4) also got seven points and six assists from Austin Babcock, and seven points from Austin Donoho.
The Rockets, who led 35-18 by haltime, got Connor Olson back from a concussion, but Alex Leaf is likely sidelined until the postseason with an ankle injury.
Morrison 60, Amboy 19: The Mustangs got their lone Three Rivers Conference win of the season in a blowout at home.
Connor Duncan led the Mustangs (5-25, 1-13) with 11 points. Amboy (6-21, 2-12) got seven points from Tyson Powers.
Erie 78, Fulton 59: Jacob
Johnston scored a career-high 37 points as the Cardinals (16-12, 8-6) cruised to a Three Rivers win on Senior Night in Erie.
Fulton (6-24, 3-11) got 14 points from Jake Willging and 13 from John Widener.
Polo 72, Milledgeville 63: The Marcos outscored the Missiles 42-24 in the middle quarters for an NUIC East road win.
AJ Dollmeyer led the way with 16 points for Polo (19-7, 10-3).
Caleb Skoog made five 3-pointers and scored 22 points for Milledgeville (7-17, 3-10).
Aquin 79, AFC 46: The Raiders trailed 23-4 after one quarter in Ashton as the Bulldogs (23-2, 13-0) wrapped up the NUIC East title. Troy Mairs scored 10 for AFC (8-16, 2-11).
Eastland 67, Stockton 44: The Cougars sealed up the NUIC West title in Lanark.
Eastland (23-3, 12-0) held Stockton (14-7, 6-4) to two first-quarter points. Skylar Paulson scored 18 of his team-high
22 points after halftime.
West Carroll 73, Pearl City 54: Tommy Losch scored 19 points, Jordan Bacero had 16, and Trevor Jones had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Thunder (10-19, 4-8) to an NUIC West win in Mount Carroll.

Faith splits in Kankakee: Isaac Weber had 28 points, 30 rebounds and 15 blocks in two games, as the Falcons (17-10) beat Coulee 67-63 in the
quarterfinals and lost 64-35 to Collinsville in the semis.
Adam Dettman and Blake Hudson added 14 points apiece for the Falcons in the quarter-final victory.
The Falcons took a 38-23 before holding on for a victory with free throws in their quarterfinal.
Weber blew up with 19 points, 20 rebounds and eight blocks for Faith, which shot 22-for-29 at the free-throw line and scored its last 11 points at the stripe.
Third-seeded Faith then fell to No. 2 Collinsville in the semis, with Weber adding nine points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks.
