All invited to form chain of support for elementary teacher battling cancer
STERLING – Family, friends and supporters of a former Sterling teacher battling aggressive cancer are forming a human chain around her block Sunday afternoon.
Jessica Strader, 29, who was a a special education teacher at Jefferson Elementary School, has fought an aggressive breast cancer since February 2010. By October 2011 it had spread to her brain.
Supporters are making the chain near the Strader home as a show of support for her; her husband, Jared; and their two children, son Dominique, 9, and daughter Khloe, 2.
