President Obama to speak at Chicago high school

CHICAGO (AP) — President Barack Obama's post-State of the Union speech in Chicago will be at a high school on the city's South Side.

The White House says Obama will speak Friday afternoon at Hyde Park Academy. The visit comes days after first lady Michelle Obama sat next to the parents of Hadiya Pendleton during the president's State of the Union address on Tuesday. The 15-year-old girl was shot and killed about a mile from Obama's Chicago home. The majorette was killed just days after she performed at events for Obama's inauguration in Washington last month.

The president is expected to address gun violence and other issues.
