Jacob Johnston tossed in 24 points to lead Erie to a 61-54 victory over Prophetstown in a Three Rivers contest Tuesday in Prophetstown.

Also for the Cardinals (15-12, 7-6), Connor Saad had 14 points, and Owen McConnell added 10.

For the Prophets (13-14, 6-8), Devin Johnson scored 22 points, and Zach Inskeep added 13.

Newman 70, Morrison 40: The Comets opened a 28-5 lead after one quarter and got 19 points from Nic Miller in a regular-season ending Three Rivers romp over the Mustangs at home.

Miller went 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Kyle Moore added nine points for Newman (22-4, 13-1).

Connor Duncan scored 10 points and Scott Hamstra nine for Morrison (4-25, 0-13).

Kewanee 49, Bureau Valley 44: The Storm led the Boilermakers 16-10 after the first quarter, but couldn't hang on in Kewanee.

Parker Neuhalfen led Bureau Valley (19-11, 7-7 Three Rivers) with 15 points, while Tommy Johnston added 10.

Dalton Nuding paced Kewanee (23-3, 14-0) with 14 points.

Oregon 51, Byron 49: Caleb Mowry tossed in 23 points to lead the Hawks past the Tigers in Byron.

Holden White chipped in nine points for Oregon (13-13, 2-10 Big Northern West).

Forreston 66, AFC 36: Graye Freeman scored 10 points for the Raiders (8-14, 2-9 NUIC East), who fell behind 17-5 after one quarter and never caught up.

Robert DeVries paced Forreston (13-12, 6-5) with 18 points.

Aquin 73, Milledgeville 58: The Missiles led 31-30 at halftime, but were unable to keep pace with the league-leading Bulldogs in Milledgeville.

Kameron DawTyne and Kaleb Ebersole each scored 12 points for the Missiles (7-16, 3-9 NUIC East), while Caleb Skoog added 11.

Andrew Martin poured in 26 points and Anthony Townsend added 20 for Aquin (21-2, 12-0).

Girls

Faith Christian 46, North Love 42: Tressa Schuler scored 17 points to lead the Falcons to a season-ending road win in Rockford.

Amanda Smith added 12 points and Sarah Smith 10 for Faith (23-2). Grace Harris scored 21 points for North Love.

Women

Sauk Valley 58, Black Hawk 50: Holly Nicklaus knocked down seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Skyhawks to an Arrowhead Conference win at home.
