Marilyn E. Dillow

DIXON – Marilyn E. Dillow, 82, of Dixon, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

She was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Eureka, to Elmer and Mary (Hartter) Mette. Marilyn received her diploma in 1948 from Sheffield High School.

She worked as a nurse for Dr. Gierhart of Prophetstown, where she met James L. Dillow. They were married on Nov. 5, 1961. Marilyn ran a day care center from home until her boys were in high school. She then worked at Farmers’ National Bank in Prophetstown, retiring in 1995.
