Hold National Day of Prayer at courthouse
Last year in January at the Rochelle City Council meeting, before the Glory Prayer Conference 2012, something ignited inside of my heart. I said the Scripture that was placed on my dad’s desk when he was mayor from 1991 to 1999 in Dixon. On April 17, 2012, at 6 a.m., while driving to work, God said,” The day of vindication has arrived.”
At first, I did not understand; as the day progressed, I would. When I made it home, I asked my wife whether the incident in Dixon had made the national news. Why would it? was her response. “Because Dixon is the declared hometown of our 40th president, Ronald Reagan.” That was that day.
I would later rent a movie from Family Video in Rochelle called “Ounce of Courage.” The movie is about a grandfather and a grandson trying to relate. The grandfather is the mayor of a town dealing with Christmas and seeing Christianity under attack.
